Miami, FL – 06/18/24 – The Miami VIS are thrilled to announce the signing of Matee Ajavon, a dynamic guard who made an immediate impact upon her arrival in the 305. Ajavon joins the organization at a harmonious time, effortlessly aligning with a core VIS value of riding for the retired. A standout guard, Ajavon has a proven track record of success and leadership on the court, and a passion for life and basketball matched by her VIS teammates off the court.
A seasoned pro who in the last five years was answering calls from the streets, Matee was spotted in the dark hours of the morning at a local LA Fitness working on her game. It was then that a lengthy recruiting process started and Ajavon eventually decided to suit up for the VIS.
The Miami VIS are confident that Ajavon’s experience and skills will be invaluable assets to the team. Head Coach Andre Drummond expressed excitement about the new addition, stating, “Matee is valid.”
